About us

Founded by Jean Haguet, Caravela World has been building on Caravela Consulting's 7 years of international advisory experience, focused on growth strategies and projects. It brings to companies a wider array of skills including transformation management, venture building and international business development.

Having navigated in both startup and corporate environments, we know that speed, adaptability, innovation and collaboration with partners have become basic requirements to launch new initiatives and generate growth.

Managing such initiatives requires the skills and attitudes of an entrepreneur.

We are proudly based in Lyon, France and we work internationally, either remotely or at our clients' location. We worked in Europe, the USA, North Africa, the Middle-East and Indonesia.

We work within an ecosystem, in particular with:
  • independent experts and consultants who bring additional skills (digital transformation, sales automation...)
  • international business development networks (sales accelerators, business introductions agencies, international expert groups...)

The caravel is the iconic vessel of discoverers and path finders. We use this image because it takes a daring and specially prepared team to design and launch new ventures in a corporate context.

What they say about us

I had the pleasure of working with Jean to design and execute the strategic partnership strategy for Klinc in France. Not only his deliveries were top notch, but he also always took the extra mile to add valuable feedback/ analysis as the project progressed.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him on projects to lift off the ground new initiatives or developments. His interpersonal skills are also key to achieve the goals and manage the team.
Laura Sanchez Espinet was EMEA Digital Distribution & Partnerships Manager at Zurich Klinc
I had the pleasure of working with Jean on the launch of a new insurance product.
Throughout our time together I have been impressed by Jean's drive, commitment, organisation, strategic knowledge, network and resilience.
An excellent creator of opportunities, Jean never lets himself be beaten and knows how to overcome obstacles.

François Villatte was Head of Customer Experience and Distribution at Zurich France

I have had the pleasure of working with Jean on a few complex projects in Saudi Arabia during the past 2 years. Jean's analytical capabilities as well as his business acumen helped drive many B2B projects to fruition. He was instrumental in devising detailed and accurate feasibility studies that gave us clear guidance on the future performance on the products and services to be launched. I really enjoyed working with him through the analysis of complex sets of data.
These interactions have assured me that Jean possess a huge wealth of knowledge of the telecoms industry and a unique ability to predict future technology and business trends. Jean's sincere dedication and eye for detail are a few of his qualities that are very admirably obvious.

Ammar Hamadien was Group Director, Products & Services at Zain

I worked with Jean during 9 months on a large turnaround project in telecoms. Jean was in charge of the B2B offer and go-to-market transformation. Jean delivered sustainable impact and 2-digit growth.
Both the client and the Roland Berger team enjoyed working with Jean. He has strong telecom expertise, and is flexible, passionate and a hard-worker. We will be very pleased to work with Jean again.

Alexei Kharlamov was Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants

I worked with Jean in a project on the Middle East, which was challenging for both of us. Jean led our project office, coordinating a large number of team members plus a complex client. He had an excellent control capability over those difficult times. I enjoyed his direct style (and his humor, too) and his fast understanding of complex issues. He was able to switch between various fields fast, and had a special ability to sell the solutions to our client. I can propose him into any large and complex project.

Istvan Maradi, ex-CTIO at Telekom Hungary, was a co-worker on an engagement at Arthur D. Little
